Due to COVID 19 New Employee Orientations Are Online
We are proud. Our history is rich with achievement and tradition. Our university is a place where the dynamic and visionary challenge the status quo. We share a vision of preeminence; using our minds, our research and our passion, we engage the community and create positive, lasting global change. We are better than yesterday but never as good as tomorrow. Because our excellence has no boundaries – and because that’s what AGGIES DO!
Congratulations on joining our Aggie team! Whether this is your first job, you are changing jobs or perhaps moving from a different state, assuming a new role in a new place can be daunting. This page is designed to assist you with a smooth transition to our university. Our goal is to help you feel welcomed, informed and fully prepared to be successful in your new journey at North Carolina A&T.
Throughout your onboarding process, the Human Resources staff is committed to help guide and support you. Please don't hesitate to contact us.
The orientation process is designed to acclimate you to our university and to ensure all required paperwork is completed. We hold orientation sessions twice a month. A representative from our HR staff will provide all the details you need to schedule and take part in your session.
Prior to your new employee orientation date, please click the links on the pre orientation checklist; print the forms; carefully review each form's instructions; complete the forms; and lastly, bring the completed forms with you to new employee orientation (with the exception of the I-9 form). The I-9 must be completed and signed in the presence of an HR staff member. The most important thing to remember about the I-9 is to bring two forms of ID with you to orientation, as specified on the list of acceptable documents page.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package to all permanent, full time employees. Some benefits are state-provided, some are unique to A&T. All faculty and staff has access to our Employee Discount program, offering discounts to area retailers and services. If you are looking to relocate, we partner with a local company offering relocation assistance, in a program called "Aggies on the Move". Check out our benefits webpage for more information about our great benefits.
Onboarding does not stop at new employee orientation! We want you to be set up for success as an Aggie on DAY ONE. To ensure we acclimate our new employees in a strategic, thoughtful, thorough, and excellent manner, we created this onboarding checklist as a resource for supervisors.
