Living Learning Communities

Housing and Residence Life strives to promote educational excellence in the Living Learning Community and increase retention for North Carolina A&T State University. Through strong collaborations with Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, the Living Learning Communities enable residents to experience a more educationally enriched community supporting their academic and career aspirations.

Moreover, Housing and Residence Life recognizes the importance of life skills for the employability of our students. As such, these communities will focus on a Residential Curriculum guiding students toward competencies in life skills such as critical thinking and reasoning, social and civic responsibility, character, ethics, and communication. How to Apply

Complete the checklist before applying:

  • Complete the housing application with payment.
  • Meet the criteria for the particular LLC or TC in which you are interested.
  • The LLC Application for The Noble Place and FIT is now available.  The deadline to complete an RLC application is April 15th, with a priority deadline of March 30th.

Living Learning Communities

The FIT Living Learning Community provides structured academic, social, and professional experiences for first and second-year Sports Science and Fitness Management (SSFM) students.

Honors/International Programs LLC provides students opportunities to increase learning outside the classroom.

Interdisciplinary Center for Early Career Exploration (ICEE) LLC provides a specific, planned approach to integrate students and activities leading to an early awareness of careers, skills, and leadership development to meet the needs of a global society.

Noble Place LLC develops a sense of leadership and community while learning to work in a team and make good life choices. They will also begin to develop critical thinking skills and professional identity

SISTERS LLC fosters intellectual, personal, and professional growth through the development of positive relationships within the local and campus communities. SISTERS will create a deeper appreciation for excellence in education, service, and finer womanhood.

TRIO LLC addresses the unique needs of economically challenged, first-generation, and disabled students.

AGGIE M.E.N (Male Empowerment Network) is dedicated to making strong and positive impacts on first-year and continuing male students as they matriculate toward graduation.
