North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University was granted $5.8 million by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to create a genomics educational hub that will provide new educational and research opportunities for undergraduate and master’s students who are historically underrepresented in biomedical sciences.

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (CAES) will receive nearly $2 million to test environmentally friendly growing techniques, improve educational training on food allergies, strengthen nutritional science programs and more – six projects in all – as part of a competitive grant program from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture.

A research team comprised of professors, post-doctoral and graduate student researchers from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University presented at the 2022 American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting in Chicago. Solomon Bililign, Ph.D., Marc N. Fiddler, Ph.D., Vaios Moschos, Ph.D., Janica Gordon, Markie’Sha James and Megan Mouton participated in poster and oral presentations that focused on research related to air quality and health in Africa.
