International Education Week Extraordinary Global Experiences

EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Nov. 19, 2024) — The Honors College at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is hosting lecture series to commemorate International Education Week (IEW), an initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education dedicated to celebrating the benefits of international education and academic exchange opportunities. 

“For The Culture,” a lecture encouraging historically Black college and university (HBCU) students to pursue international engagement opportunities, will be held Thursday, Nov. 21, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm in Frye Hall, Room 101. This event will include a “fireside chat” hosted by Cabral Jeter ’23 and senior Lewis C. and Elizabeth Dowdy Scholar Charles-Anthony Woodfork in a discussion with James Ham, director of the Office of International Affairs at North Carolina Central University.  

This lecture is part of the Honors College’s NCAT Extraordinary Opportunities (NCAT EO) Extraordinary Global Experiences (EGE) series.
