A Seat at The Table: Study Abroad Pre-Departure Orientation

The Office of International affairs will host mandatory Pre-Departure events to help you prepare for your experience abroad. At the Orientation, student attendees will receive information on saving money to health & safety while abroad. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and connect with other students traveling to their region, and talk through next steps with their study abroad advisor.

Education abroad is one of the most challenging, exciting, and rewarding experiences that you can have during your college career. An international experience requires planning and preparation.  The OIA study abroad staff and your program provider adviser will help you prepare for your experience abroad, take time during your pre-departure planning to learn about your host country. Preparation is key to a successful experience abroad.

All study abroad accepted programs for the Spring/Summer 2025 semester, students are required to attend the Pre-Departure orientation which will be in-person on Friday November 8, 2024 from 11am-1pm in Student Center 3^rd floor Room 342.
