Global Engagement in the Office of International Affairs

The Office of International Affairs (OIA) at North Carolina A&T State University is dedicated to fostering global engagement and internationalization in alignment with the university’s Preeminence 2030 strategic goals. By providing students, faculty, and staff with transformative global opportunities, OIA ensures that A&T remains a leader in preparing graduates for success in a rapidly evolving, interconnected world.

Our global engagement initiatives include:

  • Study Abroad & Exchange Programs – Expanding access to study, research, and internship opportunities worldwide, ensuring students develop global competencies.
  • Global Learning & Cultural Exchange – Hosting international speakers, workshops, and events that promote cross-cultural understanding and global awareness.
  • International Student & Scholar Support – Providing resources and tailored programming to enhance the experiences of international students, visiting scholars, and faculty.
  • Sponsored Global Programs & Fellowships – Facilitating opportunities for faculty, staff, and students to participate in prestigious programs such as the Institute of International Education (IIE) International Academic Partnership Program (IAPP), the IIE American Passport Project Grant, and the Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) Overseas Faculty Development Seminars.
