Are you interested in being part of a research project? Working with a team in a bio-engineering laboratory or conducting social science research in the field? Research experience can open up new horizons for you and help you connect with interests you may not even know you have. At North Carolina A&T, undergraduate students are a vital part of our research program, playing meaningful roles in projects that answer important questions and move the frontiers of scientific knowledge forward.

Search and Apply for an External Summer REU (Research Experiences for Undergraduates):
- The U.S. National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates (NSF REU) program supports intensive research by undergraduate students in any area of research funded by NSF. Undergraduates (college and university students) can apply directly to REU Sites to participate in research projects across the United States and the world.
- The National Institutes of Health Summer Internship Program (NIH SIP) is for college, graduate and professional students interested in exploring careers in research and healthcare. Summer interns work in a research groups directed by a Principal Investigator (PI). Students interested in biology, engineering, epidemiology, psychology, mathematics, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, nursing, physics, computer science, bioinformatics, and other health-related fields are invited to apply.
- The Summer Research Early Identification Program (SR-EIP) at the Leadership Alliance is a fully paid summer internship that provides undergraduates with training and mentoring in the principles underlying the conduct of research and prepares them to pursue competitive applications to PhD or MD-PhD programs. The SR-EIP offers closely mentored research experiences in the life and physical sciences, social and behavioral sciences, and the humanities at 20 research institutions across the country. NC A&T is a member of The Leadership Alliance and NC A&T students are encouraged to apply for the SR-EIP.
