Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Program
The annual intercollegiate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Program celebration will occur Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025, at 7 p.m. in the Student Center, Deese Ballroom.
This event is a collaboration with Greensboro College, Guilford College, Guilford Technical Community College, and the University of North Carolina-Greensboro.
Light refreshments will be served.
Following welcomes from Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs Tonya Smith-Jackson and representatives of Greensboro College, Guilford College, Greensboro Technical Community College and the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, the N.C. A&T University Choir will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing” and a selected hymn.
Each institution will present a Martin Luther King Jr. Service Award and A&T will recognize this year’s oratory contest winners.
A grounding and call to action will conclude the celebration after an activism roundtable led by students and staff.
