Civil Rights Training
All Cooperative Extension staff are required to complete the training modules below, meeting civil rights requirements. The modules should be completed annually by April 1st.
Civil Rights Training: This training covers all civil rights requirements for county and campus staff and volunteers. To complete the online module click here. Upon completion, enter your name into the certificate and download it.
REG Data Training: This training provides information on race, ethnicity, and gender (REG) data protocols. To complete the online module click here. Upon completion, enter your name into the certificate and download it.
Civil Rights Training Plan
- All Cooperative Extension staff, volunteers, and council members are required to complete civil rights training. There are two separate online modules which includes a REG data training and the civil rights training covering LEP, reasonable accommodations, nondiscrimination, and the complaint process.
- Mandatory refreshers will be provided during staff and committee meetings yearly in November and March.
- Additional refreshers will be provided on an ongoing basis via email correspondences.
- A minimum of 3 training sessions are required.
- New employees will receive information on required training during orientation and will have 10 business days to complete the training.
- Training completion will be tracked via certificates awarded to particpants completing 80% or better on the associated assessment.
- Completion of required training will be added to your performance evaluation. Annual performance evaluations will emphasize civil rights training for applicable staff.
