Venue Information
Built in 1949, Harrison auditorium offers a welcoming space for a wide array of events, from academic lectures and conferences to performances and student showcases. Whether hosting a guest speaker, a student performance, or a community gathering, Harrison Auditorium provides a space where students, faculty, and the Greensboro community can connect, learn, and celebrate the rich cultural and academic traditions of the university.

Police/Security Personnel: $32.45-$55.00 per hour per Police/Security Officer (Onsite sales require University Police Department coverage)
Events Personnel (contingent upon event requirements and needs): $25.00-$85.00 per hour per Police/Security Officer
Insurance: Certificate of Liability is required prior to use and must be maintained at all times during the life of the Lease Agreement. Insurance should include: public liability, personal injury, and property damage insurance from insurers acceptable to NC A&T SU, in limits of not less than $1,000,000 (one million dollars) for personal injuries and & $25,000 for property damage.
Policies and Procedures
Clear Bag Regulation
Harrison Auditorium has modified its security policy by limiting the size and style of bags allowed in the Auditorium. An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the door designated for this purpose.
*This excludes events sanctioned by North Carolina A&T State University.
Violators will be subject to a fine of up to $1000 and will have all privileges for use of all property owned, leased, or governed by the North Carolina A&T State University University Event Center revoked until further notice.
Emotional Support Animals (ESA)
Please note that Emotional support animals (ESA’s) are not service animals as defined in the Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act of 2008 and are not afforded the same access to campus as a service animal. ESA’s are not allowed in the library, academic buildings, classrooms, dining areas, labs, work areas, the Student Center, the Campus Recreation Center, Harrison Auditorium, Corbett, and Moore gym.
NOTE: North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University reserves the right to request that an approved emotional support animal be removed from or not allowed into areas listed above.
The use of bicycles, skates, skateboards, sneaker skates, and other wheeled recreational vehicles is prohibited inside Harrison Auditorium. Bicycles must be left outside and secured with a bike rack where available.
Confetti (static, poppers and cannons), paint, glitter, feathers, glue, and/or sand materials are NOT permitted inside Harrison Auditorium. Painting/spray painting decorations or persons is not permitted during any event in Harrison Auditorium both inside and outside the building (example: painting your poster, spray painting leaves, body painting, etc. on Harrison Auditorium property).
If your decorations are painted before your event you are permitted to use them at that time. Tape cannot be placed on the walls in Harrison Auditorium. The use of these items will result in a housekeeping charge. University Event Center reserves the right to charge a housekeeping charge to any group using any kind of decoration that may permanently change the appearance of the room.
