Tuition rates are reviewed by the University's Board of Trustees and the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina System and set annually by the North Carolina legislature.   • Once a student is notified of acceptance he/she is required to pay a nonrefundable matriculation fee of $1000. This payment will be applied to total tuition costs

*Clinical rotation travel and housing occur in the second year of the program. It is the responsibility of the student to have adequate housing and travel accommodations for each rotation.  
**All eligible students enrolled in the UNC System Colleges and Universities are required to have health insurance. Student insurance is set by the University of North Carolina System. Students may opt-out of health insurance if they have existing insurance.

Financial Aid Opportunities 
If you think you will need assistance, the first step is to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form. The N.C. A&T State University Federal School Code is 002905. Your information must then go through the process of verification.

Refunds for Official Withdrawals 
Students who wish to drop all courses for which they are registered must withdraw from the university prior to the first day of classes to avoid academic or financial responsibility. Any student who receives Non-Title IV Aid and withdraws from all of their courses (Official Withdrawal) may be entitled to a refund for paid tuition and fees dependent on the date of their withdrawal. Below is the refund schedule for Fall/Spring ONLY.

Students who are awarded Federal Financial Aid and choose to withdraw will also be subject to the Return of Title IV Funds Policy. This may result in an unpaid balance due to the university. Federal Title IV Aid includes Stafford Loans, Perkins Loans, PLUS Loans, Pell Grants, and SEOG Grants among others.
