Chemical, Biological, and Bio Engineering (CBBE)
Chemical engineering is the branch of engineering responsible for the design of processes for manufacturing, transformation, transportation and safe use of petroleum, chemicals and many other materials. Biological engineering uses living materials and life sciences to design products and processes to meet human needs in areas such as bioenergy and environmental sustainability. Bioengineering, also called biomedical engineering, applies engineering principles and knowledge of human physiology and disease to solve problems in medicine and healthcare.
Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering (CAEE)
Civil engineers design, build, supervise, operate, and maintain construction projects and systems in the public and private sector, including roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, and systems for water supply and sewage treatment. Architectural engineering is the application of engineering principles and technology to building design and construction. Environmental engineering is concerned with protecting people from the effects of adverse environmental effects such as pollution, as well as improving environmental quality.
Computer Science (CS)
Computer Science is the field of study devoted to the design, development, analysis, and engineering of software and the theory of computing in an effort to develop robust, resilient and scalable systems.
Computational Data Science and Engineering (CDSE)
Computational data science and engineering addresses recent and significant advances in computing hardware, software, and computational methods. These advances have opened new avenues for business, governments and academia to tackle challenging problems and to combine big data, big computation and big systems.
Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE)
Electrical engineers work with various manifestations of the electromagnetic field, utilizing all methods of computation, software/hardware systems, machine intelligence and mechanization to control the flow of electrons resulting in outputs such as material changes, energy production, signals, forces/torques, and a host of other actions. Computer engineering is a discipline that integrates several fields of electrical engineering and computer science required to develop computer hardware and software. Computer engineers usually have training in electronic engineering (or electrical engineering), software design, and hardware-software integration instead of only software engineering or electronic engineering. Computer engineers are involved in many hardware and software aspects of computing, from the design of individual microcontrollers, microprocessors, personal computers, and supercomputers, to circuit design. This field of engineering not only focuses on how computer systems themselves work, but also how they integrate into the larger picture.
Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE)
Industrial and systems engineering is the branch of engineering which deals with the optimization of complex processes or systems. Industrial and systems engineers work to eliminate waste of time, money, materials, human resources, machine time, energy and other resources that do not generate value for an organization.
Mechanical Engineering (MEEN)
Mechanical engineering is the branch of engineering that applies the principles of mathematics, physics, and materials science for the design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of motorized systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the creation of machinery of all types, including their operation and maintenance.
