USDA Awards $1.8M to N.C. A&T Agriculture, Nutrition, Consumer Sciences Projects

EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (July 2, 2020) – Adding to its extensive catalog of graduate certificates, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is now offering certificate programs in Cybersecurity and Data Analytics.
“Skilled IT, security and data analysts are continuously required to be steps ahead of cyber attackers, providing solutions and proactive protocols for global industries,” said Clay Gloster, Ph.D., dean of the Graduate College. “The courses associated with these certificates are aligned with current and future business needs, preparing students for one of more than 3.5 million unfilled positions globally in these fields projected by 2021.”
Available as online-only options, both programs require 12 credit hours for completion and are perfectly constructed to provide technology professionals and those looking to break through in tech fields, more specialized training options without extensive time restraints and potentially increase earning potential.
Certificate seekers will combine real-world application with technical knowledge learned through courses such as “Information Privacy and Security,” “Computer System Security,” “Software Security Testing,” “Computational Statistics,” “Data Processing and Visualization,” “Machine Learning and Data Mining,” and more.
Certificates can be obtained within one semester and can prepare participants for the Certified Information Systems Security Professional and EC-Council’s Certified Secure Computer User certification exams as well as many others.
