Students Return to Campus for Spring 2025 Semester

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University launched the spring 2025 semester Tuesday as thousands of students swarmed campus to go to their first classes, pick up books and settle in to campus residences.

Phi Kappa Phi Chapter 291 Inducts 31 Students

N.C. A&T to Celebrate 64th Anniversary of A&T Four’s Historic Sit-In

The North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University community will gather once again Feb. 1 to celebrate the remarkable legacy of four A&T freshmen who electrified the civil rights movement in 1960 with their courageous sit-in at the downtown Greensboro Woolworth’s lunch counter – an event that served as a catalyst to change public accommodations laws across the nation.

Three Cadets Chosen for Georgetown University’s Security Studies Summer Institute

This highly competitive program, which is offered at no cost to participants, is designed to provide insight into what it means to work in the field of security studies.

N.C. A&T Alumna Bass to Serve as Student Honors Convocation Speaker

Adrina Greenlee Bass ‘04, an assistant attorney general at the North Carolina Department of Justice, will serve as speaker for the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Student Honors Convocation on Wednesday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to noon at Harrison Auditorium. The event will include the presentation of academic honors and excellence awards.

Bluford Library has been awarded a $50,000 Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant to create the Bluford Maker Lab: Design Your Future and a $93,704 LSTA grant to launch a program where students will create instructional videos on topics relevant to information literacy and research under the direction of the library.

The Aggies are headed downtown. North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is opening a “pop-up” at 201 S. Elm St. on Monday, Oct. 21, just in time for homecoming. The grand opening celebration will feature appearances by Mayor Nancy Vaughan and Chancellor Harold L. Martin Sr., a food truck, and a store full of the latest and best Aggie gear.

Martin Sr. took the stage at Harrison Auditorium for the Chancellor’s Speaker Series, “Love the Skin You’re In,” Oct. 3, student engagement was intense and consuming. From Martin’s comments regarding his experiences dealing with the effects of colorism to the daily experiences of guest panelists Laverne Cox, Shaun Ross and Amber Riley, the conversation was informative and transformational.
