
A&T Celebrates Small Farms Week, Names 2025 N.C. Small Farmer of the Year

EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Dec. 1, 2021) – For the fourth consecutive year, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will host Winter Wishes in Aggieland and grant the holiday gift (wishes) of Guilford County Foster children. In partnership with Guilford County Department of Social Services, the annual event will take place Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, noon–3 p.m., around the Deese Clock Tower, in a drive-thru, socially distanced fashion.
University employees will sponsor 600 holiday gifts (wishes) for 200 children, three for each child. Employees will drive through and drop off the gifts, which will be distributed to social services before the holiday.
A&T is committed to exceptional public service and community engagement. The university sees its leadership role in the Greensboro and Piedmont Triad area as one that impacts individuals as well as entities and systems. Supporting Guilford County Social Services and the numerous foster children the department serves is a privilege, honor and duty that the university embraces and looks to expand.
