Bluford Library Receives LSTA Grant to Lower Class Costs, Boost OER Use

EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Dec. 1, 2022) – For the fifth consecutive year, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will host Winter Wishes in Aggieland and grant the holiday gift (wishes) of Guilford County foster children.
In partnership with Guilford County Department of Social Services, the annual event will take place Friday, Dec. 2, from noon to 3 p.m. around the Deese Clock Tower.
N.C. A&T Employees share what "Winter Wishes in Aggieland" means to them.
University employees will sponsor 600 holiday gifts (wishes) for 200 children, three for each child, which will be distributed to social services before the holiday. Participants will drop off their gifts, have the opportunity to mingle over light holiday fare, receive a gift of appreciation, and enjoy inspirational holiday songs.

WHAT: Annual Winter Wishes in Aggieland at N.C. A&T, collecting holiday gift wishes, supporting foster children in Guilford County.
WHEN: Friday, Dec. 2, noon to 3 p.m. Media interviews available from 11 a.m. to noon. Photo and video capture are encouraged throughout.
WHERE: Participants will gather around the Deese Clock Tower on A&T’s campus to drop off their wish(es) and pick up a thank you gift and treat.
