EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Jan. 25, 2023) – The online bachelor’s degree programs offered by North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University now rank among the top 55 such programs in America, reports U.S. News & World Report’s new “Best Online Programs” listings.
In Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans, North Carolina A&T comes in at no. 32 nationally. Both rankings are compiled from the magazine’s annual evaluation of online undergraduate and master’s programs, which this year include 359 colleges and universities.
“Online delivery of bachelor’s and master’s degree programs is a major growth area for North Carolina A&T, and we are pleased to show up so well in this third-party evaluation of our programs,” said Assistant Vice Provost for Distance Education and Extended Learning Tonya Amankwatia. “As the nation’s largest historically Black college or university, we have much to offer students across North Carolina and the nation. Many such students are place bound, work full time or have schedules that make in-class instruction impossible.”
“We’re excited to meet their educational needs and look forward to extending Aggie excellence around the world,” said Amankwatia.
A&T performed remarkably well in multiple specific online programs, led by its master’s in Information Technology, which ranks no. 7 in America among such programs for veterans and no. 12 overall.
The Online master’s for veterans in Education Programs and in Business Administration ranked no. 13 and no. 56, respectively. The university also ranked no. 43 in best online master’s in Education programs and no. 85 in best online MBA programs.
A&T currently provides 30 wholly online bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs. For more information on any of them, visit https://online.ncat.edu/.
