Chief of Staff Hart Selected for TBJ’s Outstanding Women in Business Class of 2024

EAST GREENSBORO, N.C. (Jan. 18, 2023) – A Feb. 1 speech by the Rev. Al Sharpton announced last week has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 31, at a non-North Carolina A&T venue.
Drawn from his book, “Righteous Troublemakers: Untold Stories of the Social Justice Movement in America” (2022, Harlequin), Sharpton’s talk is still scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. on the new date. The event is being presented by the International Civil Rights Center and Museum in downtown Greensboro as part of its inaugural Civil Rights Speaker Series taking place throughout February.

Sharpton will also sign copies of his book at the event. Books may be purchased in advance at the museum, 134 S Elm St, Greensboro, NC.
Sharpton is a longtime civil rights leader, activist and founder of the Washington-based National Action Network. He has been prominent in a lengthy list of civil rights/discrimination issues and political campaigns, most recently the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd and the 2020 presidential election. He has hosted his own program on the MSNBC cable network, Politics Nation, since 2011.
“Righteous Troublemakers” is the Sharpton’s fifth book.
